THE EXECUTIVE SEARCH PROCESS

We are a relationship rather than a transaction driven firm and understand that each client is unique. The Account Executive who makes the initial presentation partners with you through the entire process and is directly responsible for all phases of the search.  Our pre-search agenda is to get to know you, then offer a value added approach to solve your management-critical needs.

Working in a team environment with the Client, we become aware of the history and the culture that is the foundation of your organization. We strive to understand the background and management style of the hiring authority. This allows us to realize the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that your company faces.

The next step is a full understanding of the position. We start with a client generated job description and a department organizational chart showing management and operational linkages. We add the hiring authority’s vision of the ideal candidate, compensation, quantifiable performance measurements, intangible considerations and the challenge/reward factor. We summarize this information into a confidential document that becomes the basis on which the search is conducted.

Expectations of both parties are critical.  We share timelines, marketing strategies, access to the hiring authority and information coordination.  We discuss the approach and our fees (which are all inclusive).  If we concur the search is logical and The Hanson Group is capable of succeeding, an agreement will be authorized and the search will begin!  Based on the position and our working history with your company, a corporate visit may be in order.

A large target candidate recruiting list is developed from desk research, position interaction contacts, direct and indirect marketing and our data base. We have 18 years of relationships with “Centers of Influence;” the cream-of-the-crop financial industry leaders. Our goal is to use the “centers of influence” to be directed as quickly as possible to the best 2 to 5 candidates that fit the position description.
